What I learned in Science lab today 4-26

Today I learned how an oil company makes oil Riggs/pumps.  This lab will affect me in years to come because now I know how people get oil.  I always thought the oil just  comes from the gasoline pumps at a place like Costco.  I never made the connection of people working to get the oil that goes in our cars.

What I learned in Science Lab today 4-19

Today in science lab we talked a lot about the oil spills in California.  I learned there are platforms out on the ocean, and many people (mostly young men) live on this place.  I also learned in a science lab when people say gas, they mean natural gas, not gasoline for a car.  I never really cared about it until Mrs. Martines brought it to my attention.  This lab proved to be entertaining. 

What I learned in Science lab today 3-29

In science lab today we watched a video about different types of energy.  My favorite part was when the video talked about Iceland.  Iceland seems to be a great city, and it uses energy in a good way.  A new thing I learned in lab was that there are many types of non-renewable energy including petroleum and coal.  This video was a good video and held good information.

What I LEARNED IN COMPUTER LAB

Today in Computer Lab I reviewed many things about math.  There were many things that I really needed to review before the STAR tests.  Some of them are proportions, ratios, fractions, decimals, percentages, and many others.  Doing the activities reminded me I had to review if I wanted to do good.  This class really helped me to review these many math subjects
